SWAMY SEEKS CBI PROBE INTO VADRA’S 6 NEW FIRMS
Tuesday, 15 April 2014 | PNS | New Delhi
BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Monday urged President Pranab Mukherjee to direct the CVC and CBI for an immediate probe into the six new companies floated by Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra.
In a letter to Mukherjee, Swamy alleged that the six new companies formed by Vadra were involved in the dubious transfer of 23 acres ofprime land near the Rashtrapati Bhavan to real estate major DLF.
Swamy alleged that the six companies floated by Vadra in mid-2012 were during the same time the Urban Development Ministrydubiously allotted the prime land nearRashtrapati Bhavan to a DLF Group company. Providing documents with his complaint to Mukherjee, Swamy said one Amit Mehta is the Promoter and Director of all the new companies of Vadra and his email id given to the Registrar of Companies (RoC) was the same id used by the corporate directors of the DLF Group.
“This is in continuation of my earlier letter of the scam arising from de-classification of the Keventer Diary Ltd land for residential use to the benefit of a real estate company called DLF. It was obvious that without political influence this change in land use breaching national security and providing windfall profits would not have been possible.
“I have appended documents, which show that companies owned by son-in-law of Ms Sonia Gandhi, viz Robert Vadra, the DLF executive Mr Amit Mehta was Director. Form 32 copy of RoC proves this by Mr Mehta’s email address. Please take necessary steps including referring this letter to the Chief Vigilance Commissioner for probe and subsequent CBI investigation,” said Swamy in his letter to the President of India.
During June-August 2012, Vadra floated six companies with him as the Managing Director at the same address -- 268, Sukhdev Vihar, Delhi - 110025. These companies are: Lifeline Agrotech Private Limited, Greenwave Agro Private Limited, Rightline Agriculture Private Limited, Future Infra Agro Private Limited, Best Seasons Agro Private Limited and Prime Time Agro Private Limited.
Later, releasing the letter and documents to media, Swamy said these companies were floated during the same period when the UPA Government allotted the strategic prime land near the Rashtrapati Bhavan at a pittance to Vadra’s partner DLF in July 2012. “Amit Mehta is a Promoter and Director of all these companies according to Form 32 filed to Registrar of Companies by Vadra.
His email id given is corporateaffairs @ dlf.in. This is the same email id given by DLF Group to otherDirectors of their other companies. How come DLF’s email id is in Vadra’s companies? A thief will makemistakes during the loot by putting his stamp accidently,” said Swamy.
“President should direct CVC to launch an immediate CBI probe. Vadra floated these companies to pocket the quid-pro-quo from the dubious allotment of 23 acre prime land near Rashtrapati Bhavan to DLF. His six new companies were floated during the same time with a DLF executive when the Centre allotted Rs 20,000 crore worth land to DLF for just Rs 65 core. This is the last attempt of loot of the family in the fag end of UPA’s tenure,” said Swamy.
